CUTE ALERT: VILLAGERS KNIT JUMPERS FOR ELEPHANTS

Winter is coming in Northern India and it gets quite cold indeed, therefore some wonderful volunteers at the Wildlife SOS Elephant Conservation and Care Centre decided to take matters into their own hands and keep their much-loved elephants cosy all winter long!

CUTE ALERT: VILLAGERS KNIT JUMPERS FOR ELEPHANTS

Even though these huge jumpers take around four weeks to make they are definitely not scrounging on style, as we know style comes first, and these elephants have never looked so good. Due to the abuse these rescue elephants have suffered in the past they are more susceptible to illnesses like pneumonia, and are unable to cope well with the bitter weather. “The cold aggravates their arthritis which is a common issue our elephants have to deal with” said centre founder, Kartick Satyanarayan.

We can now rest assured that these beautiful elephants will be able to fight the cold and stay sassy.
