Jackie Carreira has used a good range of basic crochet stitches in this pretty floral project, making it a great reminder of all the key techniques.

Each row of petals is worked behind the previous row to give a 3D effect. To do this, insert the hook behind the double crochet stitch where the two petals join, holding the previous row forward as you do so. Once you’ve finished your version, why not stitch the motif onto a seat pad or cushion?
